Established in 2020, as a 501(c)(3) publicly supported organization, Glen Burnie Pearls of Service, Incorporated (GBPS) purpose is to exercise, promote, and protect the privileges and interests of the residents of Glen Burnie (Anne Arundel County) and surrounding areas; to foster a healthy interest in the civic affairs of the community; to develop good citizenship; to help young people receive a higher education; to increase the motivation of youth; to provide scholarships, awards and/or sustenance grants.

The Internal Revenue Service approved GBPS as a foundation April 2020 as a tax-exempt publicly supported organization. This status allows contributions to the Foundation to be tax deductible.

Glen Burnie Pearls of Service, Inc. raises funds through member dues and fundraising efforts. Glen Burnie Pearls of Service, Inc. meets at least annually to consider organizational matters, program grant proposals and develop fundraising strategies.
